In 1991 Andrey Kudakov, a physicist and an inventor, PhD in Mathematical Sciences, together with his collegues established a company dealing with protection of intellectual property in Russia – LLP NPOV of Physical Faculty of MSU. At that time one of the key goals of the organization was the assistance to scientists-inventors, as only few researchers (even now) knew how to use such helpful tools like patents for inventions and utility models which proved to be reliable methods of protection of obtained scientific results. That is why the educational work of the Patent Bar "Kudakov & Partners" conducted among scientists is very relevant in modern conditions.

For many years Andrey Kudakov reads lectures about protection of intellectual property for students and graduates of the Physical Faculty of Moscow State University. With active participation of Andrey Kudakov there was established the Patent Department of Physical Faculty of Moscow State University which he now heads. In 2007 was published an impressive and useful book of Andrey Kudakov - "Valuable thoughts. Innovations and intellectual property for physicists and other non-lawyers”.

Russian and Eurasian patent attorneys of Patent Bar "Kudakov & Partners" actively share practical experience in the field of intellectual property protection with other patent attorneys and lawyers. There were published more than thirty scientific articles in specialized magazines, as well as a large number of handouts at conferences, news articles, commentaries and interviews. Annually representatives of Patent Bar "Kudakov & Partners" speak at a number of main specialized conferences. In early 2009 developed by PB "Kudakov & Partners" and proposed to the experts "Methodical recommendations on the evidence of proving the interest in the Chamber of Patent Disputes" is widely recognized by the colleagues.

In 2006 Andrey Kudakov got LLM degree for the work "Non-use of a trademark as basis for termination of its protection" devoted to one of the most pressing practical issues of registration of trademarks and to the related competitive struggle.

Representatives of Patent Bar - Russian and Eurasian patent attorneys actively participate in the largest Russian social organization of patent attorneys - the Chamber of Patent Attorneys. Andrey Kudakov is a member of the Chamber Council. The website of the Chamber was created and is maintained by the efforts of the PB "Kudakov & Partners".

In 2010 was organized the Council of Eurasian Patent Attorneys and Andrey Kudakov was choosen as the President of the organization.

PB "Kudakov & Partners" promote the practice of protection of new and non-traditional items of industrial property. In particular, in 2008 it developed a new concept and created the "Registry of Russian Commercial Designations". Currently this Registry is the only active registry, in which the recorded commercial designations are available for consultation in the on-line mode, which is especially important in the absence of the system of state registration of such means of individualization.
